Reagan National Airport
The Airports Authority does not provide a dedicated shuttle between the airports. Washington Flyer Taxi provides service between Dulles and Reagan National for an estimated fare of $50 (estimated travel time is 45-60 minutes). SuperShuttle shared ride van provides the same service for about $23 (estimated travel time is 45-75 minutes). Washington Flyer Coach provides service between Dulles and the West Falls Church Metro Station for $9. From there you can connect to Metro Rail.
BWI Airport
The Airports Authority does not provide a dedicated shuttle between the airports.
Below are options between Dulles and Baltimore Washington International Airport.
- Direct travel: Washington Flyer taxi (estimated fare $97.00 and 60-70 minutes travel time) or SuperShuttle shared ride van service (estimated fare $75.00 and 70-90 minutes travel time) are available between Dulles and BWI. The other options may require connecting to other modes of transportation to get to your final destination.
- Other travel modes: You can also use Washington Flyer Taxi (estimated fare $30.00 and 15-20 minutes travel time) or SuperShuttle shared ride van service (estimated fare $20.00 and 20-30 minutes travel time) or Washington Flyer Coach (estimated fare $9.00 and 15-20 minutes travel time) for ground transportation to the West Falls Church Metro station. From there, you could take the Metrorail to the Greenbelt Metro station ($3-$5) then board a BWI Express Metro bus. You can also take the Metrorail to Union Station board a northbound MARC Penn Line train to BWI.
Baltimore City via public transportation
You use the Washington Flyer Coach (estimated fare $9.00 and 15-20 minutes travel time) for transportation from Dulles to the West Falls Church Metrorail station. From there, you could take the Metrorail to Union Station, where you can board a northbound MARC train to Baltimore.
D.C. (District of Columbia) via the Metrorail system
Metrorail does not provide direct service to/from Dulles. You can ride Washington Flyer coach (estimated fare $9.00 and 15-20 minutes travel time) to the West Falls Church Metrorail station, then board an eastbound train into D.C. Check the Metro website for station location of your final destination.
National Air and Space Museum Udvar-Hazy Center (Dulles Annex)
VRTA operates a bus route called the “Dulles to Dulles Connector” which provides direct service between Dulles Airport and the Smithsonian’s Udvar-Hazy Center. Proceed to any “Arrivals Door” from Baggage Claim, down the ramp and outside to the second curb. Virginia Colleges in Harrisonburg, Charlottesville, Blacksburg, Radford
Home Ride provides scheduled service between the Vienna Metrorail station and JMU, UVA, VT and Radford on weekends. They leave Vienna metro on Sunday evenings, and depart from the colleges listed above on Friday afternoons. You may use the Washington Flyer Coach (estimated fare $9.00 and 15-20 minutes travel time) for transportation from Dulles to the West Falls Church Metrorail station. From there, you could take the Metrorail to the Vienna station.
Fredericksburg, VA
The Airports Authority does not provide a shuttle between Dulles and Fredericksburg. A Washington Flyer taxicab could provide transportation, with a metered fare of approximately $115.
Alternatively, you can take Washington Flyer Coach (estimated fare $9.00 and 15-20 minutes travel time) for transportation from Dulles to the West Falls Church Metrorail station. From there, you could take the Metrorail to Franconia Springfield, where you can take a southbound VRE train to Fredericksburg.
Virginia Cities: Richmond, Charlottesville, Harrisonburg, Norfolk, etc.
There are no shuttles providing direct service between Dulles and these points. You might want to try Greyhound, but you would need to use another ground transportation option to reach the Greyhound stations from Dulles.
